Job Description
HSE Management: Develop and implement the site-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and international best practices. Site Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across the construction site to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Risk Assessments: Perform risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHA) to identify, evaluate, and control workplace risks. Training & Awareness: Provide safety training and conduct safety inductions for all new site personnel. Organize toolbox talks, safety meetings, and drills to promote safety awareness. Incident Reporting & Investigation: Investigate safety incidents, near-misses, and accidents, prepare incident reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain all HSE-related documentation, including inspection records, permits, incident reports, and safety meeting minutes. Prepare regular reports on HSE performance for management review. Compliance: Ensure that the project is fully compliant with all local and international safety standards, including OSHA, NEBOSH, and other relevant regulations. Promote Safety Culture: Foster a safety-first mindset and encourage proactive safety practices among workers and management. Environmental Management: Oversee environmental safety, including waste management, pollution control, and safe disposal practices.
Requirements
- Qualifications: NEBOSH Certification + Valid First Aid and Firefighting Training
- Experience: 8 years
- Skills: NEBOSH IGC Certification (mandatory). Valid First Aid and Firefighting Training (mandatory). 8–10 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in the GCC region and within construction environments. Comprehensive knowledge of construction site safety regulations, risk management procedures, and incident investigation techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with workers, supervisors, and management. Ability to prepare and deliver safety training programs and safety awareness sessions. Proficient in HSE documentation and reporting. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to promoting a culture of safety.
